What We Do

We provide 24 hour, 7 days a week support care. Our warm & caring homes provide a whanau (family) orientated home, we uphold immaculate hygiene as pride in tidiness is encouraged & uphold secure homes to ensure our residents feel included & safe at home. 

We offer beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy with your fellow residents/whanau 

Furthermore, we support residents attending training, work, activities, programmes etc. that optimises their physical, intellectual and social worth or that might open a future career opportunity or expand existing goals. 

How you access us

Access to residential care is conducted through the NASC. At Papaarangi Home we have an open arms policy for those that will be a good fit in our service and our existing residents. Kaikaranga (formerly Taikura Trust) send referrals and needs assessments of potential clients, to ensure their eligibility for residential care.

Certification

Papaarangi Home’s certification audit is carried out by Bsi Group as well as a Designated Audit Agency on behalf of The Ministry of Social Development.

We are a Certified Home to the Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standards NZS 8134:2021 and contract to the Ministry of Social Development.

 

Exit Planning: Decisions on length of stay are made with Family Support. Clients stay until re-integration with the community is successful, or if another provider is more useful in the terms of rehabilitation.
